Abstract
454,403. Shoes. MADSEN, W. J., and MADSEN, A. M. S., (trading as SORENSEN, MADSEN, & CO.), 56, Norrebrogade, Copenhagen. Dec. 16, 1935, Nos. 34849 and 34850. Convention dates, Oct. 29 and Nov. 27. [Class 17 (ii)] The material of a braided shoe upper is passed through holes in a sole member above the wearing sole to secure it to the sole member. The sole member may be the inner sole or a frame member lying along the edge of the sole between the inner and outer soles, and comprising, as shown, a double-over strip 2 with a reinforcing cord 5 in the bend 4. The edge of the insole is, in this latter construction, cut away at a bevel over the holes in the strip 2 through which the braiding material is threaded, to facilitate such threading.
