Boots and shoes.-A boot, shoe, or the like intended to cure or not to cause deformities has the toe edges, on both inner and outer sides of the boot, substantially on a straight line with the metatarsal portion and the heel portion. The toe portion has its greatest depth adjacent its inner edge so as to give ample room for the big toe. The outer border of the metatarsal portion is provided with a soft stiffener g<1>. The boot allows room for the toes even when pads are placed between them for straightening.
