Abstract

445,005. Centrifugal fans. LORENZEN GES., C., 16, Wusterhausenerstrasse, Berlin. Aug. 16, 1935, No. 23060. Convention date, March 5. [Class 110 (i)] A centrifugal compressor comprises a number of rotary vanes 9 which form curved tapering nozzles in the section, and a very much larger number of fixed vanes in the diffuser. The rotary vanes are hollow and the inner ends are aligned with spokes 7 extending between the impeller hub 5 and the rim 6. The vanes 10 are secured between two rings 11 which fit into recesses in the discs 3. With large impellers, the outer ends of the vanes 9 are secured to rings which abut against the sides of the discs.
