Abstract
408,823. Hooks. BLACK DIAMOND STEAMSHIP CORPORATION, 39, Broadway, New York, U.S.A. May 20, 1933, No. 14682. Convention date, March 31. [Class 89 (ii).] Vehicles when stowed in ships' holds or other transport means are secured by a turnbuckle 26 provided at one end of a chain 34 which is passed round the hub of the vehicle and then engaged with a hook 32. At the other end of the turnbuckle a hinged hook 30 engages with a bar 12 in a well sunk in the deck or floor.
