Abstract

1,000,114. Removable decks. BLOHM & VOSS A.G. Aug. 3, 1961 [Aug. 5, 1960], No. 28254/61. Headings B7A and B7S. A ship's hold is provided with a plurality of decks 5, the uppermost 5a of which is pivoted at 6 to a side bulkhead. The decks 5 are supported by chains 4, which pass over pulleys 3 in a space 2, in such a manner that they may be raised to form an assembly of closely abutting decks which can be pivoted about 6 and locked in a stowed position by a latch 9. The deck 5a may be pivoted to a sloping up wall 1.
