Abstract

398,176. Fluid-actuated valves. ADAMCIKAS, M. and MASSERA, G., Astor House, Aldwych, London. Jan. 30, 1932, No. 2883. [Class 135.] A self-adjusting balanced shutter for an air-flow conduit is pivoted at a point above the centre of gravity and towards the direction of air flow, and is provided at the top with half round reinforcing strips 2 sufficiently flat to form a stream line contour with the shutter. The distance from the top of the pivots is preferably from “ to 1/5 of the depth of the shutter. The bearing supports 5 are riveted in position in indentations 7.
