Abstract
375,896. Surface and outline gauges. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London, and DUMAS, R., 27, Lillington Road, Leaming- ton Spa, Warwickshire. April 8, 1931, No. 10379. [Class 106 (ii).] A screw thread gauge has two sets of measuring elements each forming a " go" gauge of which the first set measures the effective diameter and the second set pitch and angle or alternatively full form, one element of each set being mechanically connected to an element of the other and means being provided to move the connected elements relatively to the co-operating elements. The elements 2, 3 are for effective diameter and the elements 4, 5 for pitch &c. The element 3 is fixed by a shoulder 3<1> and screw 11. The element 5 may be adjusted by a two-part nut 13 and a screw 15. The elements 2, 4 are connected together by the lug 7 and screws 6 and may be adjusted together by two nuts 8, 9 pressed together by springs, the nut 8 passing through a screwed cap 16 and being riveted to a collar 18. A locking screw 10 is also fitted. The elements are set to a plug gauge provided at each end with a screwed part.
