Folding seats; adjustments.-In a folding chair, each side supports two members 2, 3, adapted to rest on the floor and pivotally connected together, and seat-supporting means 6 for holding these members in operative position, said means 6 comprises two rigid parts hinged together by a single non-reversible joint 7 between the pivotal points 8, 9, so that the two parts 6 can fold against one another. The members 2, 3 may be directly pivoted together, or a link 5 may be provided, allowing two different positions of use of the chair.
