Abstract

336,429. Junkers, H. Nov. 22, 1928, [Convention date]. Frames.-A device for absorbing bolt stresses, particularly in engine casings of light metal, comprises a shell 21, pressed into the casing, in which is seated a block 23 tapped to receive the bolt 6. For securing a side stav 10 to this block, a screwed cap 26 presses a conical ring 25 against the wedge-shaped block 24. Bolt 11 connects opposite blocks and absorbs the diametral stresses from the side stays which would otherwise be borne by the material of the cylinder.
