Abstract

322,832. Bennetts, J. H. Sept. 27, 1928. Brackets, adjusting. - A slidably adjustable support for pipes &c. consists of a longitudinally slotted bar a, adapted to be attached to or built into a wall, floor or ceiling, and having a serrated outer surface, a headed bolt d engaging the slot and carrying a serrated washer e adapted to be clamped against the serrated face of the bar, to hold the bolt d in adjusted position, by a nut f on the bolt. The projecting end of the bolt carries a band clip or hook &c. to support the pipe &c. In the construction shown the bar is ot hollow box formation wider at the back than at the front to enable it to be built into a concrete wall &c. The bar is further secured by anchor plates h embedded in the concrete and having lugs k to engage the sides of the bar. The bar may be of channel formation with a back plate to close the channel.
