Abstract

320,276. Brampton Bros., Ltd., Cunliffe, H., and Richardson, J. J. Dec. 7, 1928. Hubs.-In a cycle &c. wheel hub, the ball-races 5 are secured outside the hub-barrel 1 by rings 8 of taper section forced into the ends of the barrel. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the races are formed with coned seatings for the spoke.flanges 10. In the form shown in Fig. 4, one of the races has a threaded extension 11 to receive a driving- sprocket &c. In the modification shown in Fig. 6, the race 5 is adapted to receive a dust-cap 15 which, in a further modification, may be formed integral with the spoke-flange 10.
