Abstract

328,164. Mellor, A. July 3, 1929. Self-filling reservoir pens.- The sac 2 in a, self-filling reservoir pen is deflated by actuation of a knob 4 reciprocable in the end of the barrel and connected to a link 7 which is also pivoted to a lever 13 adapted to extend into the barrel and depress the end of the link against the presser-bar 3. The knob is formed with a flange 6 adapted to limit the outward movement, and a pivot pin 10 is provided in a slot in the flange for the reception of the end of a cranked part of the link 7. The other end of the link is reduced and provided with lateral projections engaging under flanges on the presser-bar. The lever 13 is pivoted in a casing mounted in an opening in the barrel and covered by a metal or other band 18.
