Opening by cutting or tearing.- A solid drawn sheet-metal container is formed with a removable section defined by two weakening lines Sand provided with a sheetmetal tongue B adapted to be engaged by a key and having one end inserted through a slot X in the removable section, the inner part B<1> of the tongue lying against the interior of the section and being soldered or welded thereto or secured by passing the end B<2> out through a second slit Y and clinching it against the outer face of the section. An inward depression may, as shown, be formed in alignment with the slit X to facilitate the sealing of the slit by soldering.
