Abstract
319,821. Aktieselskabet Frederiksberg Metalvarefabrik, and Rasmussen, A. P. June 28, 1928. Jackets; lids.- Vessels for containing milk &c. and comprising an inner vessel 2 of aluminium or other light metal with an outer steel or like wall 1 spaced therefrom by insulation 14 such as cork dust, have the joint 12 between the vessel and wall placed vertically beyond the insulation of the jacket and lid and formed, as by bending both parts over a ring 13, so that the contents only come in contact with the material of the inner vessel. The bottom 4 of the outer wall may be riveted to the outer wall at 5 and be supported by a ledge 7 of a base ring 6. A perforated or intact cork &c. plate 15, formed in one or more parts, supports the bottom of the inner vessel, and an integral or separate side ring 16 of cork may be fitted around the bottom. The bottom 4 may be omitted, in which case the plate 15 is supported by a ledge. The lid comprises an inner wall 18 of aluminium &c. and an outer steel &c. wall 19 having a flanged rim fitting over the rim of the vessel, with an interposed packing ring 21, so as to protect the joint 13 from direct sun's rays.
