Sack-holders.-In attachment for use with coal and sack scales and weighing-machines comprises two uprights 3 detachably inserted in sockets 1 secured to the top surface of the weighing plate, each upright being slotted longitudinally and carrying an adjustable clip 5 provided at each end with a vertical socket 6. Each clip is secured on the inner side of its upright by a bolt 8 passing through a hole in the clip, through the slot, and through a hole in a washer plate 7 on the outside of the upright, a nut 9 clamping the clip and washer firmly to the upright. Bentdown lugs 10 at the ends of members 11, 12, of a two-part top frame are fitted into the socket 6 of the clips, the front member 11 being deeper than the rear one. Each washer 7 has a hook 13 formed thereon or its bolt is outwardly extended and shaped to form a hook. A non-handled sack while resting on the plate 2 has its upper edges lapped over and round the members 11, 12. The handles of a handled sack pass over the upper ends of the uprights and rest on the clips or in the hooks.
