300,088. Howson, R. G. April 20, 1928. Bolt-hole bushes. - A bolt or stud a, such as a chain stud for baths, lavatory basins and the like, is secured in a hole e in a plate or wall c by means of a conical nut d and an expansible bush f, which is split throughout its length at f<1> and at its inner end slotted at f<2> to form a number of tongues, the nut d and bush f assembled on the bolt being inserted in the hole e and the bolt a thereupon being screwed up so that the slotted inner end of the bush f is expanded against the edge of the hole e. The bush f is of greater length than the thickness of the wall or plate c.
