C l o s e d solid - fuel stoves; cooking-stoves; air-heating stoves. - A heat radiator 3 is arranged above the combustion chamber 1, and contains means, such as the vertical baffle 4, for directing the gases against the top, which forms a hotplate; a guard or casing 9 surrounds the radiator and stove, and air heated in the space enclosed by it passes into the room through openings in the top 7. The stove shown includes an inclined baffle 2 and rafractory blocks 8 in the combustion chamber, the latter being arranged one at each side of the top of the chamber and closing the spaces between the sides of the baffle 4 and the walls of the combustion chamber to prevent direct passage of the gases. to the outlet 6.
