Abstract

Rackets.-An attachment for tensioning the strings of a tennis, badminton or like racket comprises means for engaging the strings and causing them to follow a less direct course between their ends. The attachment comprises two bars A, B arranged one at each side of the longitudinal strings and engaged by an S-shaped lever D. By turning the lever D nearer to the plane of the strings the longitudinal strings are given a corrugated form and are thus tightened. The lever is retained in its adjusted position by a screw D' and a nut provided with a wing C resting on the frame.
