Abstract
A racket frame comprises an elongated member 1 of titanium shaped to form a frame for the strings of the racket. As shown the member is in the form of a loop and the cross-section of the elongated member is substantially less in the plane of the loop than in direction perpendicular to this plane, e.g. rectangular. The cross-section may be wider at its ends than at its centre in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the loop, i.e. bone-shaped or H-shaped. Extension portions 2, 3 of each end of the loop are arranged to form the shaft. In an alternative embodiment only one end of the loop may be extended to form the shaft, the other end being joined thereto and in a further embodiment a separate shaft may be employed secured at its end to both ends of the loop.
