Abstract

287,027. Tell, E. E. von. Nov. 29, 1927. Boat-securing gear. - The gripes comprise two lines, the longer 3 of which is secured to the deck at 5, is passed over the gunwale 1<a> which is protected by a shoe 6 with hooked eye 10 over another shoe 7 on the other gunwale 1<b> and terminates in a fastening comprising a hook 180 the mouth of which, is clcsed by a link 23. The second line has one end fastened to the gunwale shoe 7 and is passed round a fairlead pulley 15 fastened to the deck and terminates in a turnbuckle 17 which is engaged by the hook 180.
