Abstract

268,816. La Mont Corporation, (Assignees of La Mont, W. D.). April 2, 1926, [Convention date]. Producer plant.-In a system for the utilization of waste gases from a gas generator system a series of interconnected control valves actuated by a power cylinder are employed, and arrangements are made whereby leakage past the valves is prevented by circulating a fluid in the path of possible leakage. The outlet from the superheater is controlled by a pair of gate valves arranged in series and interconnected by a three armed member 150 connected by a bell crank lever 151 to a power cylinder 153. The outlet 147 from the steam generator 145 is controlled by a hinged valve 156 having an arm 158 connected bv a link 160 to the lever 151. When the valves 148, 149, and 156 are closed steam is admitted through a valve 164 to the conduit between the valves 148, 149 and to a groove in the seat of the valve 156. At the same time steam is admitted through the pipe 163 and valve 165 to the generator. The valves 164, 165 are interconnected with the lever 151. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 6070/90, 18280/05, 20115/07, 160,563 and 176, 771, [all in Class 135, Valves &c.].
