Abstract

A Feng Shui Luopan/Chinese compass sticker which is used to determine the relative Feng Shui direction of a floor plan which consists of a transparent polymeric sheet or similar, having a second sheet made of suitable relevant material in contact with the transparent sheet having a layer of self-adhesive which engages with any floor plans, etc, a Luopan template printed onto the polymeric-like sheet, having a plurality of Feng Shui formulas such as Ba Gua and Yi Jing. The constructed Luopan sticker will preferably be applied on a plan layout for any flat, house, building, or any particular area retrieved from an online map.

Description

UNIVERSAL FLEXIBLE LUOPAN STICKER (UFLS)
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The term "Feng Shui" literally translates as "Wind-Water" in English. How do we find a good "Feng Shui" direction? It needs a Chinese Compass (Luopan). The Luopan is based on "Ba Gua" and "Yi Jing" to define the meaning of direction. The Ba Gua is divided at any area with eight portions around three hundred sixty degree. Each portion is divided into eight sections with each section having a name or symbol which is coming from the "Yi Jing" of sixty four "Gua". Each Gua corresponds to the Yi Jing and has different meanings. Typically, the Chinese Compass aids an individual to search for good directions so as to avoid bad luck and illness. At the same time, it can be very helpful for seeking better future luck and fortune being represented in a particular direction. The Luopan will show different Feng Shui formulas such as Ba Zhai formula, Flying Stars formula, Qi Men Dun Jia formula, Xuan Kong Da Gua formula, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "Luopan template") in order to aid the Feng Shui practitioner to determine which direction is good or bad.
Typically during the measurement and calculation of Feng Shui with Chinese Compass (Luopan), it takes time and special technique to learn and to copy it to the floor plan. This involves measuring the degree of direction of the actual site and then importing it into an appropriate software before mapping the Luopan template into the floor plan to find the good direction. Hence this is a longer time-consuming process as compared to the present invention.
For this present invention of the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker, a relevant compass device (can be in the form of a hardware or software application) is needed to obtain the main degree of direction for a particular house, flat, buildings or any area that the user wants to know. Once the degree of direction has been identified, the user can then stick the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker on the hardcopy floor plan layout of the house, flat, buildings or any other area. This will enable the user to interpret those sixty four "Gua" that the user wants to know immediately. Hence the present invention can reduce the time and skill to do reproduction of Chinese Luopan template on any plan layout drawings as compared to importing to an appropriate software. This invention can aid many people regardless of their profession to easily identify a good luck place and position of the given area.
This Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker involves having the Luopan template printed onto a transparent sheet of polymeric-like material or any suitable material with a backing paper made of any suitable material as well. At the back side of the transparent sheet, it is coated with a layer of self-adhesive which helps to stick onto any layout, floor plan or drawings. It saves time and the Luopan graphic can easily be reproduced on top of any particular layout with a very accurate degree of measurement and detailed information from the Ba Gua and Yi Jing.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The drawings attached here are to aid in better understand the description of the invention here. The drawings are not to scale and they are to be used for merely illustrating the principles and concepts of the invention. In the following description, details are provided to describe the embodiment of the application. It shall be apparent to the person skilled in the art, however, that the embodiments may be practiced without such details.
The method to use this Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker is as follows. As shown in Figure 1, firstly, it needs to identify the direction of the actual site via the use of a relevant compass device (can be in the form of a hardware or software application).
Secondly, the Sticker would need to be torn out from the backing paper. And finally, the user can then stick the Sticker onto the floor plan with the direction aligned to the identified relevant direction from the compass. After completing this operation, the user can then easily read and identify the directional information such as Ba Gua and Yi Jing Feng Shui formulas (such as Ba Zhai formula, Flying Stars formula, Qi Men Dun Jia formula, Xuan Kong Da Gua formula, etc.) from the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker on the top of any target hardcopy plan layout.
As shown in Figure 2, the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker is composed of two layers, whereby the top layout item 1 is the Luopan template and bottom layer of item 2, 3 and 4 which is a backing paper of the Flexible Luopan Sticker.
Prior to using the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker for the floor plan such as a flat, a building, a group of properties or a piece of land, the user would first need to measure the main facing direction of an area using a relevant compass device (can be in the form of a hardware or software application). Once the user has identified the main facing direction using the compass, the user can then stick the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker on the top of the plan layout accordingly by removing the transparent sheet from its backing paper.
There are three basic applications to use this Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker in order to evaluate the direction of Ba Gua and Yi Jin. They are:- 1. Direction of a Flat 2. Direction of a Building 3. Direction of an area retrieved from any online map 1. Based on the facing direction of a flat As mentioned previously, a relevant compass device (can be in the form of a hardware or software application) is being used to measure and to obtain the facing direction of the door of the user's house. It is normal reference to the main door to get direction readings. For example as shown in Figure 3, it has a reading of 230 degree. As shown in Figure 3, the user can then tear out the Sticker from the backing paper. And finally, the user can then stick the Sticker onto the hardcopy floor plan with the direction aligned to the identified relevant direction from the compass, i.e. at 230 degree After completing this operation, the user can then easily read and identify the directional information such as Ba Gua and Yi Jing Feng Shui formulas (such as Ba Zhai formula, Flying Stars formula, Qi Men Dun Jia formula, Xuan Kong Da Gua formula, etc.) 2. Based on the facing direction of whole building As illustrated in Figure 4, the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker can be applied on the building plan. The steps to carry out the measurement are essentially the same as that explained in the previous paragraph under "Based on the facing direction of a flat".
3. Based on the facing direction of a particular area retrieved from online map As illustrated in Figure 5, the Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker can be applied on a particular area retrieved from any online map. The steps to carry out the measurement are essentially the same as that explained in the previous paragraph under "Based on the facing direction of a flat".
It is to be understood that the foregoing description of the preferred embodiment is intended to be purely illustrative of the principles of the invention, rather than exhaustive thereof, and that changes and variations will be apparent to those skilled in the art, and that the present invention is not intended to be limited other than as expressly set forth in the following claims.

Claims (2)

  1. CLAIMS1. An Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker, comprising of (i) a transparent sheet made of polymeric-like material or any other suitable material, * wherein the back side of the transparent sheet has a layer of self-adhesive which can help to stick onto any floor plan, drawings etc.; and * wherein the Luopan template is printed onto the transparent sheet of polymeric-like material or any other suitable material; and * wherein the Luopan template is printed with Ba Gua and Yi Jing Feng Shui formulas (such as Ba Zhai, Flying Stars formula, Qi Men Dun Jia formula, Xuan Kong Da Gua formula, etc.); and (ii) a backing paper made of any suitable relevant material in contact with the transparent sheet.
  2. 2. An Universal Flexible Luopan Sticker of claim 1, wherein * it can be applied on a plan layout for a flat, house, building, or any particular area retrieved from any online map.
