Abstract

A hand-held paintbrush which can be broken down into smaller brushes. A main stock A is attached to sub-stocks B, C and D. which can be removed, combined and replaced to create several brushes of different sizes and shapes negating the need for several different sizes of brush to do one job. The smaller brushes can be used to paint in difficult corners or awkward surfaces. An extension bar F may be housed in the handle of the main stock, and used as a handle for the detached sub-stock.

Description.
Ref: PGT-OMNIBRUSH A segmented or composite hand-held brush for the application of liquid surface finishes and treatments.
Whilst in its complete form it resembles a typical paintbrush, with a simple action it can transform into a number of separate smaller brushes with different shaped bristles which can be quickly utilised for detail' painting, (see note below) then re-attached to the main brush in order to reform the original sized brush and continue the job.
Note regarding detail' painting.
Detail' painting;-small items or parts of an object or area that need to be painted or need to be avoided.
Difficult or awkward surfaces to paint and corners or cracks or odd shapes that require a smaller brush or different of bristles to facilitate the accurate application of the surface treatment.

Slot in main stock A' houses extension bar F' which can be attached to sub-stocks B', C' & D'. G'= Bristles.

Fig.3 shows sub-stock D' and extension bar F' removed and ready to be fixed together.
Fig.4 shows sub-stock D' and extension bar F' assembled and ready to use as "detail brush".
