Abstract
A selection of covers fit to existing concrete posts (fig.1), base panels and to the tops of the fencing panels using a clip arrangement (fig.19). The post cover masks the front face, the sides, the top of the post, and the angular faces of the inner channel in which the panel sits. The base panel covers the top edge and the front face of the panel and is slotted between the top of the base panel and the bottom of a wooden fence panel. Inner strips may also be positioned within the inner channels that receive the wooden panels. The covers may be temporarily applied to protect the concrete posts and base panels while the wooden panels are painted or treated using a brush or spraying; Additionally the covers may be applied permanently to protect the posts and base panels from the elements and to provide a decorative finish.

Description:
Fence-Pal Disposable provides protection of the fence post, base panel and the area behind a fence panel Fence-Pat Permanent provides a separate decorative solution for the posts and base panel.
Fence-Pal Disposable This Fence-Pal Disposable invention addresses the problems associated with the application of liquid coatings upon wooden fencing panels held within concrete posts and base panel fencing systems.
1) PROBLEM -The first problem is that when applying a liquid coating to wooden slot in fence panels fitted between posts and on top of a base panel, it is desirable that the liquid does not make contact with the fencing post, base panel or migrate over into the area behind the fence This is particularly difficult to prevent if using a spray method which is quick to apply, but cannot be applied accurately enough to prevent the post, base panel and in some cases items behind the fence coming in contact with the applied liquid. Instead the panel may have to be removed from between the fence posts and when completed and dry, it is refitted.
A further problem is that this can be require 2 people to lift the panel the full height of the post before it can be removed and can prove difficult as the panel is heavy and difficult to lift out due to the tight fit between the posts. This could be particularly hazardous as the weight can cause personal injury. In windy conditions the wind can catch the panel and may result in damage to the panel or property around it.
SOLUTION -The solution to the first problem is the Fence-Pal Disposable which is provided as a disposable and recyclable product comprising of: * POST COVER -It may be between 0.6 and 3m long, when fitted to the post it S. comprises of a sheet member dimensioned to fit the elongated main face, secondary side faces and thirdly the angled converging faces at the rear of the main face, providing a wrap around coverage. It may have a fixing means such as a clip or the * . . like. S. *
* POST CORNER COVER -It may be between 0.6 and 3m long. It comprises of a e sheet member dimensioned to fit a corner post and when fitted to the post between two fence panels converging at a right angle, it provides a wrap around coverage : .. which substantially covers four faces of the post. It may have a fixing means such as a clip or the like.
* BASE PANEL COVER -It may be between 0.lm and 2.5m in overall length and when fitted to the base panel the cover comprises of a sheet member dimensioned to fit the elongated main face and secondary top face of the base panel.
* TOP COVER -It may be between O.lm and 2.5m in overall length and when fitted to the top of the fence panel it may have fixing means such as clips and the like. Such clips may fit to the top of the fence panel and enable the top cover to be fitted to the top of the fence panel. The top cover comprises of a sheet member with three cut outs upon the lower edge to recess the clips when fitted, dimensioned to fit on top of the fence panel, between the posts, with secondary side faces protruding forward.
* INNER CHANNEL STRIP -It is dimensioned to fit the inner channel of a concrete fence post and comprises of elongated sheet strips, which when fitted are positioned within the fence post channel between the upper and lower battens of the fence panel When each cover is fitted, they may independently and collectively protect the surface areas of the post, base panel and an area behind the fence from coming into contact with the applied liquid.
Embodiments of the Fence-Pal Disposable design will now be described by example only with reference to the following schematic drawings denoted sheets 1, 2 & 3 of 7, which detail the component drawings of the design, a visual description of how they are fitted and the various designs of the product to fit the various post types, which are also shown.
The Fence-Pal design fits to the post, the base panel and the fence panel. The Fence-Pal post cover is wrapped around the concrete post from one side around the front face and around the other side (see figure 1). The Fence-Pal top is fitted to the top of the fence panel with clips (see fIgure 3). Fence-Pal base cover fits to the concrete base panels sliding under the fence panel and fitting flush to the face of the base panel.
