Abstract

A door frame fitting for a door closer, the door frame fitting comprising a central boss 60 and an outwardly directed flange 56 for mounting the fitting to a door frame, the central boss having a cavity, a chain having a plurality of links pivotally connected together by alternating spacer elements, each link comprising a pair of link elements, the endmost link element 282 being at least partially received in the cavity, and a fixing element 288 for fixing the endmost link elements to the boss so that the endmost link of the chain is prevented from translational and rotational movement relative to the boss.
