Abstract

232,455. Trevelyan, A. July 9, 1924. Cigar cutters. -Two plates 1, 2 carry between them a part-circular blade 4 pivoted at 9 to the plate 2 and slotted at 8 to receive a pin 7 on the plate 1. The pins 7, 9 may pass through slots 10, 11 in the plates 2, 1 respectively. The edges of the plate 1 are bent over at 5, 5<1>, the, portions 5' receiving the plate ,2 and enclosing springs 6. The end of a cigar placed in the hole 3 in the plate 1 is cut by pressing, the plates together. The Provisional Specification describes a modification in which the blade 4 is secured to the exterior of the plates 2.
