Abstract
A base blank firing rifle 1 equipped with a SLR/Digital camera 4 complete with telephoto/zoom lens 6 and remote-control facility 5 mounted on top of unit 1 and with a laser target aimer 2 under the barrel 1 sighted into the camera lens 6 is used to obtain a photograph having a red dot or mark in the precise spot a bullet would have penetrated the target had the rifle 1 been a proper fire alarm. This then provides an image-proof trophy of "simulated-kill" which in the sporting world replaces the need to kill for sport pleasure.
Description
"GREENSHOOT" - "GREEN SPORT" - 1,GREENSHOOT" Sport
Aims:
To bring together blank firing weapon camera system and laser aimer to take photograph of target dot before rife blank is fired, thereby providing photo evidence of where target would have been shot.
Main Purpose:
To provide a new outdoor pursuit for people from all walks of life.
Illustration:
Red Deer Stalking:
With this system a Stag can now be stalked and "shot" but no animal is actually killed. Instead the Sports Person gets the full thrill of the
Stalk, the Aim, the Cartridge Fire, and then receives a photograph proof of where the bullet would have penetrated.
A "Green Sport".
Method To Build:
One "Blank Firing Replica" or "Deactivated Rifle", adapted to fire blank cartridges to be used as base unit. Camera with lens required for task employed, to be mounted on base unit on upper rifle body. This camera is to protected from weather by protective shroud/cover (solid or fine wire mesh) shaped fully to protect. Camera to be activated by remote control sensor on barrel of rifle or by firing wire linked to trigger. The laser (Daylight) target aimer is attached to front end of barrel to project Red
Target Dot on target. Camera/Shroud unit now to be affixed to top of rifle onto its own base holder and secured buy screw finger tight, blank cartridge drawn up to firing breech of rifle. Shoulder strap attached to replica weapon.
