Abstract
A pair of children's shoes I with one half of a two-part motif II, appearing on or applied to the outside of the right and left shoe, on the front inside edge, so that when the shoes are placed side by side or worn in the correct way the completed motif II is seen. There is also an accompanying two part puzzle III showing the same motif. The shoes and puzzle helps young children to identify the right and left shoe from each other. The puzzle allows a child to practice putting the motif together before repeating the action using the shoes I. The motif may be a simple symmetrical picture, eg. a football or a flower. The puzzle may be made from safe durable material such as plastic, cardboard and wood.

Children's Left-Right-Training Shoes Field of Invention:
The present invention relates to Children's Left-Right-Training Shoes, embodying a simple, attractive, child-friendly and practical solution to help young children distinguish between and learn to identify the left and the right shoe through the use of a simple two part pictorial motif on the shoes and an accompanying two part pole showing the same two part motif: Typical Existing Scenario: Young children, typically between the ages of 2 and 4 years and who are capable of putting on their own shoes, frequently find it difficult to differentiate between the left and the right shoe and to decide which shoe goes on which foot. This often results either in repeated requests for parental help, leading to much frustration for both parties, or the child putting the shoes on the wrong feet. In the case of the latter, the repeated wearing of shoes on the wrong feet can lead to falls and injuries and may even lead to the damage or disfigurement of young growing feet and toenails.
Prior Art - Shortcomings:
At present there are no specific products available on sale which help young children distinguish between and learn to identify the left and the right shoe through the use of a simple two part pictorial motif on the shoes and an accompanying two part puzzle showing the same two part motif.
Inventive Step: The novel inventive step of the present invention is to overcome this deficiency in the market by providing Children's Left-RightTraining Shoes, that are a simple, attractive, child-friendly and practical solution to help young children distinguish between and learn to identify the left and the right shoe, through the use of a simple two part pictorial motif on the shoes and an accompanying two part puzzle showing the same two part motif.
Prior Art - No Product Available:
At the time of filing, a search carried out bowed no prior art for Children's Left-Right-
Training Shoes to help young children distinguish between and learn to identify the left and the right shoe through the use of a simple two part pictorial motif on the shoes and an accompanying two part puzzle showing the same motif.
Summary of Invention:
Children's Left-Right-Training Shoes, embodying a simple, attractive, child-friendly and practical solution to help young children distinguish between and learn to identify the left and the right shoe through the use of a simple two part pictorial motif on the shoes and an accompanying two part puzzle showing the same two part motif. The motif consists of a simple symmetrical picture (e.g. a football or flower) divided into two parts down the centre line. Each part is specifically positioned on the outside of the front of the left and right shoe so that when the shoes are either placed side by side or worn in the correct way the completed picture is seen. The accompanying two piece puzzle replicates this action to allow the child to practice and learn the concept before repeating the action using the shoes.
Reference to Drawings: Figure 1 is an illustration of the typical embodiment of the present invention showing a side view of the position of the right part of the motif on the right shoe of a pair of Children's Left-Right-Training Shoes.
Figure 1 a is an illustration of the same shoe as viewed f rom front and at a slight elevation. Figure 2 is an illustration of a typical embodiment of the present invention showing a pair of Children's Left- Right-Training Shoes place correctly side-by side so that the motif forms a complete picture.
Figure 2a is an illustration of the accompanying two piece puzzle of the motif correctly completed.
Description:
1. Referring to the drawings (see figs 1 & 2) in a typical embodiment of the present invention there is provided a pair of Children's Left-RightTraining Shoes {I}, (to help young children distinguish between and learn to identify the left and the right shoe), comprising of a pair of children's shoes (the size, colour, material and style of which may be of any combination according to individual requirements) with one half of a two part motif {II} appearing on or applied to the outside of each shoe and positioned on the front inner edge of each shoe so that when the shoes are either place side by side or worn in the correct way the completed motif is seen, and including an accompanying two piece puzzle{III}(to allow the child to practice and learn the concept before repeating the action using the shoes) showing the same motif.
2. The motif {11} comprises of a simple, symmetrical picture such as a football or flower (it's shape, size and colour dependent on both that of shoe and the individual's preference) which is divided into two parts along the line of symmetry, so that one half either appears on or is applied to the outside of each shoe in such a way that when the shoes are correctly aligned the completed picture is seen.
3. The accompanying puzzle {III} comprises of two pieces (replicating the motif on the shoes exactly and divided along the same line of symmetry) made of a safe, cheap and durable material such as plastic, thick cardboard or wood.
