Abstract

The invention relates to the standard safety razor one would currently use but with essential modifications that dramatically change the outcome of the shave. The invention is for grooming facial hair into a uniform thin beard. The new razor is different to standard razors due to an inventive step (see figure 1) which shows the central part of the razor head being replaced by plastic (or some similar material) 2. Thus, using the invention as a normal razor, by following the jawline a uniform thin beard would be left whilst shaving the area around it. The width of the beard left would depend on the size of plastic centre 2 to the razor head. This is not adjustable on the razor head but would involve having a new razor head with a different size plastic centre.

Description

BEARD STYLER Technical This invention relates to a razor in the form of a beard styler Background The invention uses the regular style razor but with essential modifications that change the outcome of the shave Technical feature The invention relates to a normal safety razor with an inventive step (see figure 1). It allows the beard to be styled with ease and uniformity due to the centre of the razor being replaced by plastic or some suitable material (2) with the outsides of the razor head in the style of a regular razor (4). The handle of the razor (1) would simply be a standard razor handle with no modifications.
The reason I feel this invention is necessary and potentially very useful is due to the level of difficulty involved in styling a beard with the current razors available.
Example The razor shown in figure 1 allows a perfectly uniform thin beard to be styled. The edge of the razor (3) can be used to follow the jawline to create a uniform thin beard. The centre of the razor (2) allows facial hair to be left in the dimensions of (2).

Claims (4)

  1. Claims 1. This razor, with its new inventive step of a plain centre allows a beard to be styled with uniformity using a regular shaving method
  2. 2. Shown in Figure 1, the plain centre (2) can vary in size to give a different size of trimmed beard
  3. 3. The varying size mentioned in claim 2 is achieved with a totally new razor head based on the same principle but with a different sized centre (2). The size of centre (2) cannot be varied on a single razor head
  4. 4. The invention relates to a change in the standard razor to enable a thin beard to be styled
