Abstract

A styling method involves holding hair strands parallel while simultaneously turning them all equally and passing a pair of scissors about an axis of rotation at right angles to the hair strands until reaching a cutting angle and so as to produce a bow-shaped cut. Repetition of this on neighbouring hair strands results in a zig-zag cut, and the method gives the style a curled or waved appearance. A pair of scissors for the particularly accurate application of the cut ensures optimal guidance form the scissors and a stop effect when the required cutting angle is reached.
