Abstract

236,787. Library Bureau, Ltd., (Library Bureau). Oct. 27, 1924. Index cards.-A series of index cards is connected together in overlapping formation to form a file for a directory &c. by providing each card with pairs of lateral tongues 2, 3 engageable by flexure with corresponding apertures 4 on the succeeding card. The space for inserting. the index data may be increased by inserting the cards and using the tongues 3 instead of the tongues 2. The cards may be supported between the flanges 9 and lips 10, 11 of a metal holder or on a card provided with celluloid flanges and filing perforations. Transparent sheaths 12, 13 of different colours may be slipped over the card edges and ruled spacing lines 1<a>, 1<b> may be provided.
