Abstract
A waste bin is provided with air vents and a stabilising means, which facilitate the removal of full plastic liners from within the bin. Air vents are provided at the lower back of the bin and these serve to alleviate the formation of a vacuum between the liner and the side walls of the bin. The stabilising means comprises a foot aperture having air vents, located at the lower front of the bin. <IMAGE>
Description
FAST EMPTYING WASTE REFUSE BIN
This invention relates to a fast emptying waste refuse bin.
Waste bins are used inhouseholds to collect waste.
These bins are used with plastic bin liners, which when full are lifted out and disposed of. When full, these liners become heavy causing them to be wedged and stuck due to a vacuum being caused.
According to the present invention, air vents are provided to counteract the suction caused by the vacuum, and a foot aperture is provided at the bottom to steady the bin as the liner is lifted out. This aperture also contains air vents.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which
Figure 1 Shows the bin from the back with
air vents visible
Figure 2 Shows front of bin with foot aperture.
Referring to the drawing the waste bin comprises a plastic bin with lid.
At the lower back is an air vent 1
At the lower front is an aperture 2 consisting of a box-shaped insert which also has air vents in it.
To empty the bin, the lid is removed, the bin liner is lifted out, with the foot placed in the aperture.
The bin liner is easily removed without any suction caused, and without the bin shifting about.
