Abstract

The invention provides a simple and compact device for heating items. The device comprises an item guide such as a cup for engaging an item in a first position and drive means for moving the item guide through an arc thereby to convey the item to and from a heating source. The heating source is preferably a microwave source. The invention also provides a vending machine including the above device.
