Description

1 Procedure for manufacturing decorative sheets for makinq nativity
scenes, indow-dressing, fishtank decorations and other applications 2264657 The invention to which we refer in this descriptive memorandum is a new manufacturing process for obtaining decorative plates which can be used in decorating for making nativity scenes, window-dressing, miniature railway scenes, plant-pot coatings, aquarium scenery and other multiple applications, while other shapes can be made by creasing and later shaping of the figure required, producing figures which in the form of mountains, rocks and various landscapes, according to the type of decoration to which the process is applied, its finish being very attractive, its position being unalterable, presenting structural and component characteristics which differ considerably from the various types of decoration at present in existence, for which reasons, together with its qualities of novelty and practical use, it is considered to have a sufficient basis for obtaining the privilege of exclusivity applied for, with regard to its manufacture and sale of the holder in Spain as a result of the registration of this invention patent.
The present technique covers various decorative means which are of totally different characteristics from the decorative sheets obtained by the procedure in question, no similar systems to the process covered by the invention being known of.
Essentially, the process c6vered by this registration starts with rolls of wrapping paper which is thoroughly creasable and not brittle, of variable lenght and width, the paper being cut into regular sheets.
2 The sheets obtained are piled on a smooth surf ace of table. Then several coats of matt plastic paint are applied in various shades producing various decorative motifs of designs, all by means of airbrush, using very elastic paints, which can be shaped and are not brittle, without drying the paint, applying on top of this a light coat of woodf lour or similar material which, as the paint is not dry, will adhere to it.
Then, drying is carried out at great heat using a flame for quick drying with perfect adhesion of the superimposed woodflour, finally cutting each sheet to the size required, repeating all these operations in the various sheets of the pile prepared, one by one.
The sheets obtained by the manufacturing process to which we refer, in order to shape any figure, permit full creasing from the four corners one by one towards the centre of the sheet, pressing until a ball is formed, always ensuring that the decorated surface is on the outside or visible part, then shaping the required figure or decoration, with or without application of wall fixing pins in order to achieve the required height.
As it is considered that an ample description has been given of all the parts of the process of manufacturing decorative sheets for windowdressing, fishtank scenery and other applications to which we have referred, all that remains is to note that the various parts can be made in a variety of materials, sizes, shapes and colours and their composition can also contain variationd of construction type as required for the purpose, on condition that these cannot alter the essential points of the object of this Invention Patent Registration.
