Abstract

A bracket comprises an article supporting part intended to project perpendicularly from a wall (or like surface); and a spigot which extends into a bore in the wall; and is characterised by the axis of the spigot being bent at a obtuse behind the article supporting part such that the hole in the wall must be oblique, whereby it resists being pulled out of the hole when in use. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Angled shelf bracket Easy fit shelf bracket. Requires no cement, plugs or screws to secur it to a wall, as drawing No.1.
A masonary drill with a diameter equal to bracket stem is all that is required.
Fixing method Drill wall at slight angle equal to bracket stem angle, deep enough to accept stem fully.
Push bracket fully home then screw shelf to brackets.
Angled fixing bolts The same angle principal can be applied to bolts for securing articles to floors or walls using bolts slightly angled so when tightened they lock in holes. As per drawing No.2.
1. Angled shelf bracket, a wall mounting consisting of an oblong support made of suitable metal having a length greater than its width, a width greater than it thickness and an adequate round stem positively secured to support, at least one inch along its length by welding or brazing, the stem being slightly angled either right or left as in drawing No.1 Fig. 2.
The support has two holes drilled in it for screws to attache it to shelf.
Fixing method A masonry drill equal to bracket stem diameter is required. Drill in wall a level hole slightly angled to suit bracket stem angle, deep enough to accept stem fully, push bracket fully home and screw shelf to bracket.
Two brackets at least, one right and left angle will be required.
The angle principle can also be used to secure articles to floors, walls and ceilings Drawing No 2 using angled bolts.
