Abstract

The squeaky shoe insole consists of one full length piece of leather (1) with a separate piece of leather (2) welded to the full length piece in order to form an airtight pocket at the heel, enclosing a piece of sponge (4, not shown) and with a cylindrical whistle (3) at the welded joint. When pressure is exerted onto the heel the air is forced out of the heel towards the welded joint and the whistle. The burst of air through the whistle enables the whistle to make its accustomed squeaking noise. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Squeaky shoe insole TECHNICAL FIELD: This invention relates to a squeaky shoe insole designed especially for children.
BACKGROUND: All soft toys which have a squeak when pressed always have been a great amusement for young children. It encourages them to be aware of their surroundings.
The shoe insole works on the same princi pal. The major difference being that it encourages a child's walking ability at an early stage.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL FEATURES: This invention consists of one full piece of leather - exactly like a normal shoe insole, which has a separate piece of leather welded to its back end in order to form an airtight pocket. There is a piece of sponge inserted into the pocket and there is also a cylindrical whistle which squeaks - the cylindrical whistle being inserted into the pocket via a small hole on the side of the shoe insole.
EXAMPLE: A specific description will now be illustrated by means of referring to the enclosed detailed drawing: Figure 1. This shows in perspective the whole of the shoe insole which goes inside the shoe.
Figure 2. Shows the front side of the insole.
Figure 3. Illustrates the assembly of the insole's components and it also shows the squeak - (cylindrical whistle).
Referring to the drawing, the insole shown in Fig. 1 mainly consists of two pieces of leather and a piece of sponge as illustrated in Fig. 2. These pieces of leather being attached by welding with the sponge inside the pocket.
When being welded there is a gap left open in order to fit the cylindrical whistle. After fitting the insole in the shoe, a squeaky noise will be obtained once the air pocket is pressed.
The sponge inside the pocket creates the circulation of the air for the cylindrical whistle.
1. The squeaky shoe insole comprising of two pieces of leather being welded in orderto form an air pocket that has a piece of sponge in it and a squeak.
This insole wouid come in different sizes to fit any shoe.
2. The squeaky show insole as claimed in Claim 1, has a point of safety for parents in that they know exactly where their child is when it is out of sight for a few minutes.
3. The squeaky shoe insole as claimed in Claim 1, or 2 encourages children to take more steps resulting in earlier and enthusiastic walking.
