Abstract

219,077. Baker, C. A. April 16, 1923. Resistance ovens.-An oven fitted internally with carbon lamps of standard pattern is constructed so that when a new lamp has to be substituted for an old one, a lamp of higher voltage than that suitable for maintaining the oven at the desired temperature cannot be inserted. In the oven a the lamp g is enclosed by horizontal bars k and a plate i which determine the maximum dimensions and hence the maximum wattage of the lamp. A metal screen may be fitted on the bars before the cooking utensil l is placed thereon.
