217,826. Zerollo, D. D. Oct. 23, 1923. Dental and like engines.-A rotary toothbrush comprises a hollow handle 1, Fig. 2, within which is rotatably mounted a cylindrical member 2 connected at one end to a flexible shaft 4 driven by an electric motor, and provided at the other end with a spring 7 adapted to engage a notch on a shaft 5 carrying a cylindrical brush 6. The member 2 is formed with oil grooves 3. The brush is composed of narrow circular elements 9, Fig. 6, mounted alternately with metal washers 10 on a hollow slotted sleeve 12 frictionally engaged on the shaft 5. The sleeve is of square section, the elements 9 and the washers 10 being of correspond form to fit thereon.
