Abstract

The waterproof suit is an all-in- one suit, and when not in use, is folded to form a zip-fastened 'belt' (11) around the waist. When the zip (10) around the belt is opened the belt forms a waistband, allowing the top and bottom of the suit to be removed from the belt and put on, thus completing the suit. The main advantage of the suit is that it is easily worn and carried. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Handiproof-the waterproof suit that folds into a belt This invention relates to an all in one waterproof suit.
Waterproof suits are very well known and normally comprise of a separate trouser abd suit, although all in one suits are available.
When not in use these suits have to be carriee by hand, or in or on some form of carrier. Another problem is putting the waterproofs on over existing clothing-such as motorcycle boots or wellingtons. The time taken to put on the waterproos is also excessive.
Consequently there will be many uses in the outdoor/leisure world.
The waterproof when not in use is folded and worn around the waist on a 'belt'. It is light, easy to carry and comfortable to wear.
It also does not require another carrier as it is worn. It is quick and easy to put on. There are only three zips on the entire suit, one on the belt, a spiral zip that runs from ankle to ankle (via crutch), and one from the waist to the neck. There are velcro flaps covering the zips at the neck and angles.
Figure 1 illustrates the folded suit in the 'belt'.
Figure 2 illustrates the side view of the model and 'belt'.
Figure 3 illustrates the suit part on.
Figure 4 illustrates the top part of the suit closed, but the bottom part open.
Figure 5 illustrates the complete suit.
With reference to the drawing, Fig. 1 shows the suit folded up with the belt, 11, closed by a zip, 10, that runs around the waist. Fig. 2 shows the zip, 10, and the belt, 11, from the side. When the zip on the belt is opened the suit falls out towards the floor. Fig. 3 shows the trousers in position but still open, 12, and one arm of the top in position and part on, 13. The belt which the top and trousers are both connected to, then lies around the waist like a large waistband, which is unseen as it is inside the outer suit, 14. Fig. 4 illustrates the top of the waterproof in position and fully zipped up, 15, with the trousers still open.
Fig. 5 illustrates the completed suit. The top of the suit has been zipped up from waist to neck, 15, and the trousers have also been zipped up, from ankle to ankle (via crutch) 16.
Both the zips are then covered with the velcro flaps.
1. The invention is a one peice waterproof suit, which is worn around the wasit when not in use.
2. The design of the suit offers instant protection from the elements.
3. The invention leaves both hands free until such times as the suit is required.
4. The waterproof invention is totally independent of any other apparell.
