Description

SPECIFICATION Partition component This invention relates to a main component of a relocatable partition system and/or a main component of other works requiring a re-usable component of the type as the invention Partition Systems in general are of a nature that requires the majority of the works to be carried out on site.
Again generally, these systems have restrictions on their relocatability without substantial costs being involved. These costs range from Labour costs to component damage, during dismantling, and if re-used in a location with different dimensions there are occassions when some components are rendered unusable in the new location.
The purpose of this invention is to enable a partition to be mainly factory produced, cutting down site labour cost and damage, for the partition to be easily and speedily erected, to offer the facility of relocatability without damage to component parts during dismantling and re-erection with the minimum of labour involvement and to minimise the necessity for replacement components.
The invention also allows Modular Units to be used within a Hung Panel system and offers the facility of inter-changing Modular Units with Hung Panels.
The accompanying drawing gives, in Figure 1 :- a front elevation view of the main component.
Figure 2 :- a side elevation of the same component.
Figure 3 :- shows in perspective, the component located on a partition stud.
Referring to the drawing, the stud being predrilled as required for necessary adjustment (i.e. number of holes required) is shown in Fig.
3 with a view of the invention fully located.
Figs. 1 and 2, give respective views of the invention produced from a material strong enough to carry out the functions required of the component.
A. The component enables a Partition fascia board to be located to the main or intermediate stud without fixing between the component & stud therefore enabling reuse & relocatability.
B. The same component enables use as a transome location between main or intermediate Studs for either i) Central support of fascia Panel at any level.
ii) Support of a door or Glazine module or such like at any level.
iii) Too tie a main stud section to give stability at any given point.
C. In all cases quoted the component would be completely reusable if a system or Part System were to be relocated.
