Abstract

Thermoplastic polyurethane compositions useful in the manufacture of rubbery materials comprise: (A) a thermoplastic polyurethane having a urethane content of 25-80% which is the reaction product of a diisocyanate, a diol of molecular weight below 400, and a poly(tetrahydrofuran) of molecular weight 800-4000, using a NCO:OH ratio 0.96:1 to 1.1:1; (B) a thermoplastic polyurethane having a urethane content of 45-80% which is the reaction product of a diisocyanate, a diol of molecular weight below 400, and a hydroxyl- ended polyester of molecular weight 800-4000, using a NCO:OH ratio of 0.96:1 to 1.1:1; the ratio of (A) to (B) lying within the range of 1:99 to 7:3.
