Abstract

The pump has a volute member (11) with a cavity in which an impeller (40) with blades (56) is rotatably mounted and a collector channel (70) is formed in the wall of the cavity, the channel (70) having a progressively increasing area to progressively gather fluid as the impeller rotates for delivery to a throat (60) and a diffuser (61). <IMAGE>
