Abstract

An optical unit comprises a reflecting shell 12 with an aperture for a lamp holder 18. The shell 12 is protected against impact and the atmosphere by a layer 22 of soft expanded plastic or equivalent material. The layer also protects the periphery of the front plate 14 of the unit. <IMAGE>
