Abstract

A safety device for a door comprises a strip of flexible material e.g. polythene for attachment to the door (6) and to the door post (7) so as to extend across the gap between the door and door post, to prevent entrapment of fingers or clothing therein, it is longitudinally divided into portions (1), (2) by zone (3) which is weakened e.g. by a groove (8) on one side and reinforced e.g. by a flange 10 on the other. Portions (1) and (2) lie superimposed on each other when the door is closed. The strip is attachable to the door and post by nailing or gluing, the flanges (4,5). <IMAGE>
