Abstract

A screwdriver or like implement is so engageable with the end of a screw 13 or other type of fastener to avoid inadvertent disengagement in the radial and axial directions. The screwdriver has a bar portion 31 perpendicular to the blade 21 to engage in a recess 25 below the top surface 12 of the screw 13. Further radial holding is provided by a spring finger 61 which presses on the side of the fastener lead. <IMAGE>
