Abstract

1469920 Screwdriver attachments S C MATTHEWS 24 June 1976 05348/76 Heading B3N An attachment for a screwdriver for holding a screw adjacent to the tip of the tool comprises spring clip means A for clipping the attachment to the shank of the screwdriver, a forwardly extending stem C and a screwholding head B having transversely-extending screw-holding means, e.g. a laterally-opening slot for reception of the screw. The head B may be integral with the attachment or detachable (Fig. 4, not shown) in which case a plurality of interchangeable heads may be provided to suit different screws. The device is slidable on the shank to allow reception of the screw and engagement of the screwdriver tip in the screw slot and may be slid back to an out-of-use position (Fig. 3, not shown).
