Abstract

An installation for the treatment of waste water by the activated sludge process comprises a plurality of mutually parallel stabilization channels 3 connected together in series in the direction of flow by the interposition of bends 6, in which aeration units 7 are located adjacent to one another in the bends on at least one side of the plan view, the stabilization channels in the region of the bends which are fitted with aeration units being converted by roofing 8 into oxidation chambers 9 of an oxygen gasification installation which oxidation chambers are arranged in series as cascade stages of the oxygen gasification installation. <IMAGE>
