Abstract

Particulate material is metered into a pressurised flow line by a rotary metering valve 30 fed from a feed hopper 28 which is maintained at flow line pressure, the feed hopper being supplied intermittently via a valve 22 from a supply hopper 20 which is alternately pressurised to permit recharging of the feed hopper via said valve and depressurised to permit replenishment of the supply hopper via another valve 14. <IMAGE>
