Abstract

A locking/drive bar for a locking mechanism such as a espagnolette multipoint lock, the locking bar 136 having at least one locking peg, a serrated portion for attachment of a corner locking element (30, fig.2) and a weakened region enabling at least a part of the serrated section to be broken off in the event that the locking bar is to be fitted without a corner element allowing fitment of a face plate 142; the removed portion of the locking bar no longer obscuring fastener holes in the face plate (44, fig.3)
