Abstract

An hydraulic telescopic shock absorber has a number of separate passages 7 through a piston 2 which carries a resilient valve 8 that closes all of the passage outlets in the rest position of the shock absorber. The passage inlets are closable by means of adjusting member 9 rotatable about piston rod 3 for damping force adjustment. The member 9 has a sector shaped portion which can cover one, two or none of the passages 7. <IMAGE>
